Su objetivo b\u00e1sico de la Fundaci\u00f3n es la explotaci\u00f3n y gesti\u00f3n del Centro Extreme\u00f1o de Investigaci\u00f3n, Innovaci\u00f3n Tecnol\u00f3gica y Supercomputaci\u00f3n (C\u00e9nitS). Su objeto es fomentar, difundir y prestar servicios de c\u00e1lculo intensivo y comunicaciones avanzadas a las comunidades investigadoras. C\u00e9nitS cuenta con los Supercomputadores LUSITANIA, ubicados en su Centro de Procesamiento de Datos de C\u00e1ceres. Estos suponen una potente herramienta para el desarrollo de proyectos de \u00e1mbitos muy diversos y heterog\u00e9neos.
