La administraci\u00f3n del activador del plasmin\u00f3geno tisular (tPA) ha mejorado el pron\u00f3stico de pacientes afectados con ictus isqu\u00e9mico, sin embargo su uso en la pr\u00e1ctica cl\u00ednica est\u00e1 limitado a una reducida ventana terap\u00e9utica. Esto se debe principalmente al riesgo de transformaci\u00f3n hemorr\u00e1gica, que aumenta con el tiempo desde el inicio de los s\u00edntomas y depende del tipo\/tama\u00f1o del trombo. Un tratamiento personalizado minimizar\u00eda las complicaciones asociadas y facilitar\u00eda protocolos cl\u00ednicos. Considerando que el primer paso para una medicina personalizada pasa por un diagn\u00f3stico personalizado, el presente proyecto plantea demostrar in vivo la acci\u00f3n diagn\u00f3stica de nanopart\u00edculas duales para visualizaci\u00f3n, y caracterizaci\u00f3n de trombos durante la fase aguda de la isquemia cerebral mediante imagen molecular por resonancia magn\u00e9tica (RM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nuestro grupo de investigaci\u00f3n ha desarrollado una l\u00ednea de trabajo \u201cNanopart\u00edculas para el tratamiento y diagn\u00f3stico del ictus\u201d, englobando desde liposomas a nanopart\u00edculas f\u00e9rricas. En este proyecto se desarrollar\u00e1 un agente de contraste dual para imagen molecular de trombos isqu\u00e9micos por RM. La sonda estar\u00e1 basada nanopart\u00edculas de hierro, compuestos pept\u00eddicos con afinidad por la fibrina y anticuerpos espec\u00edficos de da\u00f1o endotelial. Estas sondas proporcionar\u00e1n se\u00f1al en RM ponderada T1\/T2. Se emplear\u00e1n modelos animales de ictus y estudios de RM optimizados en nuestro centro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El nuevo agente de contraste para RM podr\u00e1 facilitar localizaci\u00f3n, estructura y tama\u00f1o de trombos oclusores. El empleo de fl\u00faor-19 como agente de contraste permite reducir la se\u00f1al de fondo y proporcionar una alta especificidad y seguridad. Estas NPs se han caracterizado mediante diversas t\u00e9cnicas anal\u00edticas y, con el fin de dirigir las NPs hacia los trombos oclusores en el ictus isqu\u00e9mico, estas NPs se han funcionalizado mediante un recubrimiento con membrana de plaquetas no activadas, que muestran una elevada afinidad hacia las plaquetas presentes en los trombos. De esta manera, el nuevo agente de contraste desarrollado, una vez validada su eficacia, podr\u00e1 facilitar localizaci\u00f3n, estructura y tama\u00f1o de trombos oclusores en el ictus isqu\u00e9mico.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En el consorcio han participado investigadores del Instituto de Investigaci\u00f3n Sanitaria de Santiago de Compostela y de la Universidad de Santiago de Compostela con la colaboraci\u00f3n de investigadores del Servicio de Salud de Castilla La Mancha.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-file alignwide\"><a
